Ebooks as Viral Agents Teleseminar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Tuesday, June 17th, I interviewed Ruby Yeh, founder of
Alive Ebooks. We described how to go about using ebooks as viral agents to
create incredible word of mouth via the Internet. Listen to the seminar here: http://www.InstantTeleseminar.com/?eventid=3295686
Membership Site Bootcamp
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you want to create a membership site as a way of delivering content
to your website visitors, you need to take this complete course on how
to run a profitable membership website. I have taken this bootcamp
created by Ryan Lee and Tim Kerber, and it is superb. I will be using the
information here to begin several membership sites in the coming months.
Membership sites are a great way to deliver paid email newsletters that
get delivered, provide coaching services, do a paid teleseminar series,
etc. Well worth the price of admission.
Ryan and Tim are creating some wonderful videos showcasing success
stories from many people who have created membership sites for all
sorts of subjects. Great content. For many authors and publishers,
membership sites and continuity offers make a lot of sense -- a great
way to build a high-value content offering or upsell.

Master Speaker Workshop
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another useful set of videos on making money as a speaker can be
found here: http://www.presentationtrainingworkshop.com/793823.
These videos, which provide some great tips on becoming a speaker,
promote the Master Speaker Workshop for Authors and Experts that
will be presented in New York City on July 17th and 18th by T.J. Walker
and Jess Todtfeld. In addition to teaching you how to be a professional
speaker, they will also film you and show you how to be the type of
speaker that gets booked (and paid!).
Useful Internet tools
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here are a few useful Internet accessible tools for marketing your books
and creating new products. I discovered during last week's free Q&A call that many of you could use these services to create new products
and market your books.
InstantTeleseminar.com: http://www.InstantTeleseminar.com/
ProductInfo.asp?x=1246750 -- This service allows you to create and
host unlimited teleseminars (limited only by your time!). As many as 200
people can listen in via the phone while another 2,000 can listen in via
the web. Anytime, day or night. Whenever you set up a teleseminar.
You can also host and record interviews with anyone using this service.
All recordings are hosted indefinitely with the service or can be
downloaded so you can sell them as mp3s or audio CDs. All this for only
$47 per month. I really don't know how they do it for that low price,
but I'm not complaining.
Audio Acrobat: http://johnkremer.audioacrobat.com — You can use
this wonderful service to generate podcasts, broadcast Internet radio
shows, and create other audio content by just making a phone call,
recording your talk, and hitting send to syndicate your audio podcast
to 27 podcast directories like iTunes. You can also create and send
audio or video emails, post audio or video to your website with neat
players, and so much more, all for only $19.95 a month. That's an
incredible bargain. Sign up for the 30-day free trial today!
Blog Talk Radio: http://www.blogtalkradio.com -- A free Internet site
that allows you to create your own Internet radio show or shows.

Get Paid to Do Your PR
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In last week's newsletter, I noted that Susan Foster, author of Smart
Packing for Today's Traveler, wrote an article for the Travel Insider
feature in the LA Times travel section. She wrote me back today to let
me know that she was PAID to write that article. As she put it: “Paid to
have zillions of people see my article and go to my website. What a gig!”
Note that many newspapers and magazines will pay you as a book
author to write articles for them -- all free press for you.
