an unusual one-page book sales page
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is an unusual one-page book sales page that really consists of
more than one page, but functions much like a one-page sales letter.
Check it out at: http://www.ImagineThisTheNovel.com.
Note: The sales copy needs work, but the execution is interesting.
The pages are essentially part of a Flash movie, which shows page
after page of static content and includes a transition of page-flipping noise.
The following are a few of the services that feature page-flipping,
streaming audio and video, and other useful formatting for readability of
text-based books, newspapers, magazines, brochures, reports, catalogs, photo albums, and more.
Blue Toad: http://www.bluetoad.com — With BlueToad's page-flip
technology, you can quickly and easily offer an enhanced online version
of traditional paper publications for as low as $2 per page. Upload and
convert print files to create a one-of-a-kind online publication with
streaming audio, streaming video, and as many as 20 direct web links
per page, available right from your own website.
Flip@Once: http://www.flipatonce.com — You can create user-friendly
presentations with any PDF file. It comes in two versions: Flip@Once
Desktop (a stand-alone unlimited use Windows application for creating
and managing multiple interactive digital documents) and Flip@Once
Online (a pay per page service for creating online electronic flipping
books). Also features video streaming and thumbnail previews.
PageFlip Widget: http://www.flashbydesign.net/docs/usbwidgets/ pageflip/fbd1.html?ref=pageflip — Takes ordinary PDF files and makes
the pages flip.
Alive Ebooks: http://www.marketerschoice.com/app/?af=713925 —
You have to check out these multimedia ebooks. Read The Way of the
Peaceful Warrier by Dan Millman in multimedia. Very neat.
Free teleseminar: Sell Books by the Truckload -- That's Today!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During a free teleseminar with Matthew Bennett on Wednesday (today),
you'll learn the fastest way to sell 100,000 books to one buyer. My
friend Steve Harrison will be interviewing Matthew on his proven system
for selling millions of books. He's sold more than 5 million books to
companies like Ross Labs and Babies 'R Us. At the same time, he's
raised more than $1 million for charity.
You have to register to attend this free teleseminar. Go to:
http://www.freepublicity.com/mattbennett/?10005
You'll also learn the three things you must have before you pitch your
book project to prospective companies ... how to identify and reach
the right person at the right companies ... how to get paid before you
print a single book ... three proven ways to avoid wasting months on
your project ... how to get nonprofit organizations to endorse your book
... and how shy introverted authors can sell books to big companies.
If you learn just a little of what they promise above, it is clearly worth
the hour or so listening in to this free teleseminar. Register now if you
want to listen in: http://www.freepublicity.com/mattbennett/?10005

You can listen in on the first two hours of July 8th's Q&A call by going
to: http://www.InstantTeleseminar.com/?eventid=3491994.
I apologize for the event being cut off at 2 hours. I went on for another
45 minutes, but that part was not recorded. It was all my fault for not
extending the time (I got distracted while answering a question).
You can listen to last week's call (July 17th) by going to:

Quotable Books
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics
or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities.
We need men who can dream of things that never were.
— John F. Kennedy, U.S. president
