Reality TV sells books. Do you want in?
So you think you can dance? You think you can survive the real world?
You think you can do an amazing race competing against bachelors,
bachelorettes, iron chefs, top chefs, apprentices, American idols, and
the biggest losers? Are you ready for your extreme makeover?
Think of the kind of show you've always wanted to see on TV. You can
create it - and benefit from it. TV networks are hungry for good ideas.
* The Real Housewives of New York have all written books. None of
them would ever have gotten a book contract or even the notice of
an editor before they appeared on this reality show. Many other
reality show guests and hosts have gone on to write bestselling books.
* 147 people will become reality TV show millionaires in the next year.
Thousands more will earn $10,000 ... $50,000 ... $100,000 ... or more
this year from reality TV programming. Will you be one of them?
Read more about the upcoming Reality TV Summit where you will learn
how to create, pitch, and produce a reality TV show based on your
book, you website, your ideas, or your cause. The Hollywood summit

Reader question: Looking for a publisher
My name is Susan Hill-Geiser and I have written my own personal story
that could be a bestseller if I can only find a publisher who would look
at it and read it. It is a sarcastic, dark comedy about addiction, incest,
obesity, adultery and so much more. I was searching the web and
found your site. Can you help?
John's Answer: Fiction or nonfiction? If fiction, there are many
possible publishers at http://www.bookmarket.com/newnovels.htm.
If nonfiction, it's a much tougher sale. True life memoirs that are dark
comedy can be hard to sell. Not nearly as many publishers publish such
My best advice to you is to go to a good local bookstore and see which
publishers are publishing books like yours. Ask the bookseller for help in
locating where your book would be shelved - Ask for dark comedic novels
or dark comedic memoirs. Once you've found a few such publishers,
submit to those publishers (find editor's name first). If the authors of
the books have thanked their editor or agent in their acknowledgments,
preface or foreword, you have much of your job done for you. Send your
proposal to those editors or agents. You can Google for their addresses.
That's my best advice for you. If your book lives up to its dark comedic
description, it could sell.
Sit in as I do a consulting session: Great tips in a 1-hour session
Ten days ago, I did a consulting session with Clare Albright, aka Dr.
Clarity, on how to market Neurofeedback - a Drug Free Therapy.
This one-hour session (a $500 value!) was packed with advice from me
on how any author can market a book online, with a special focus on
creating relationships with top websites, using free articles as a tool
for making sales, and creating and using targeted viral videos.
You can order the Dr. Clarity Consulting Session Audio mp3 for only
$13.97 by clicking here: http://bit.ly/d60AuK
You really don't want to miss this session. That's why I priced the
audio so low. I wanted to make it irresistible because you'll find at
least 3 good money-making ideas within this detailed audio consult.
